The Importance of Magnesium

With up to 80% of people not getting enough Magnesium *experts claim low magnesium is the single largest health problem in the world today*. It's also one of the leading causes of heart attack world wide!

Magnesium operates over 300 biochemical action in your body! Your immune system, metabolism, and your blood pressure.. Just to name a few! Being deficient in magnesium can trigger at least 22 medical conditions such as: Heart Disease, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression. Diabetes & hypoglycemia, High blood pressure, fatigue, fibromyalgia, muscle cramps, Chronic back pain, Liver disease, kidney disease, Sleep disorders, Migraines, Build up of heavy metals and toxins. Bowel disease and Nerve problems, Asthma, tooth decay... There's more, but you get the picture!

Do you know any one with any of those issues? Oh pretty much everyone!

Every organ in the human body, uses and needs magnesium.

Now that you get how important it is, let's talk about how to get it.

Like everything else, it's complex and complicated...

I'll give you the basics as I understand them, but please do your research and find what you believe to be the best for you!

100 yrs ago, we'd get about 500mg of Magnesium from our normal diet, today we're lucky to get 200mg from a healthy diet.

Another problem is absorption. Certain things can keep Magnesium from staying in the body properly. Like Sugars, booze, Aging, menopause, Medications like Diuretics, some anti-biotics, steroids, antacids, and insulin. Dark soda, even diet usually has high Phosphorus Additives that can cause magnesium to bond to them and flush out of the body threw the urine.

Lack of D3 and K2 can also hinder magnesium absorption.

(The D3/K2 MCT oil drops I love and use)

You need a form of Magnesium that has good absorption!

How much?

Men need a minimum of 420

Women need minimum of 320

Just to avoid deficiency.

Natural easy ways to get magnesium...

Epsom Salt baths,

Magnesium Skin Oil, Magnesium Lotion.

(helps with aches and pains too)

I personally use this MagEnhance supplement every night.

It's 24.99 on Amazon, kind of expensive but it is the best version I can fine.

Supplement Forms of Mag:

*Magnesium glycinate is a chelated form of magnesium that tends to provide the highest levels of absorption and bioavailability and is typically considered ideal for those who are trying to correct a deficiency. (Malate)

Magnesium oxide is a non-chelated type of magnesium, bound to an organic acid or a fatty acid. Contains 60 percent magnesium, and has stool softening properties

Magnesium citrate is magnesium with citric acid, which like most magnesium supplements has laxative properties but is well absorbed and cost effective

Magnesium sulfate/Magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesia) are typically used as laxatives. Be aware that it's easy to overdose on these, so ONLY take as directed

Magnesium taurate contains a combination of magnesium and taurine, an amino acid. Together, they tend to provide a calming effect on your body and mind

*Magnesium threonate is a newer, emerging type of magnesium supplement that appears promising, primarily due to its superior ability to penetrate the mitochondrial membrane, and may be the best magnesium supplement on the market
